About me

Hi, I’m Chen Si (司宸), a Master’s student in Computer Science & Engineering at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). Prior to this, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), where I had the privilege of collaborating with Prof. Romit Choudhury in the SiNRG lab. This experience laid a strong foundation in AI, machine learning, and digital signal processing.

Previously, my research projects have covered a wide range of AI/ML applications. For example, during my time at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, I worked on electric vehicle (EV) charging optimization under the guidance of Prof. Eleftheria Kontou and Dr. Shanshan Liu. I’ve also worked on a project in room inpulse response generation under the supervision of Prof. Romit Choudhury. These projects gets me well-prepared with a solid foundation on general machine learning algorithms for future research works.

I am currently seeking opportunities for graduate programs in ML/NLP, beginning in Fall 2026, and would also like to explore potential research internships for the summer of 2025.
